Straight-Sided
Hydraulic Draw Presses in the Series are ideally
suited for operations where the blank holding
is accomplished by means of the hydraulic draw
cushion in the bed.
The press frame is a rigid fabricated
welding construction. Depending on the press size, the frame is either one piece
or in a divided design using four tie rods hydraulically tensioned.
The
press ram is guided by four well dimensioned adjustable
gibs over hardened ways integral to the press frame.
All ways are replaceable and for extreme off-loading
conditions. eight point guides are available, In "the
ram there is an ejector that has adjustable stroke
settings.
The
hydraulic draw cushion in the bed has. a separate
drive independent of the main hydraulic system
so that it can be operated separately, By means
of a selector switch the cushion can be used as
a blank holder, an ejector, or a combination of
both. The position of the cushion can be set as
desired by means of a limit switch. If desired,
the blank holder pressure can be released in the
bottom Position so that the full pressure of e
ram is available for secondary operations, such
as embossing.
These
presses are designed with a hydraulic blank holder
and a hydraulic draw ram which operates from above
and a hydraulic ejector or draw cushion in the
press bed. This makes it possible to draw difficult
components, such as drawn, reverse drawn-parts.
The
blank holder can be combined with the inner ram
by means of a connecting plate into' a common ram
so that the maximum drawing capacity is available.
Separate drives are provided for the blank holder,
the ram, and the ejector.
All
pressures are separate and can be adjusted independently
of each other. All stroke lengths are steplessly
adjustable in either direction. In addition, an
electrically driven height adjustment setting for
the draw (distance from blank holder to the ram)
can be offered.
